Welcome to Skank Sinatra Charlton Heston first traversed time and space to find apes running shit and it wasn't until a peek-a-boo Liberty's head was witnessed in the sands of post-apocalyptic Earth that the world came to realize, the gorilla's rise to power is inevitable. Skank Sinatra is composed of four delegates of varying home-countries and religions taking musical direction from a gorilla, a London gorilla at that. Draped in mystique before you ever hear a track, they've got you hooked by sounding insane, in a good “eclectic” way of course. And so it goes that the Chilean, Arab, Englishman, and Jesus Freak under the guidance of Head Primate concoct some tasty electronic stew with remixes from renowned Tom Middleton, whose previous works with Richard D. James of Aphex Twin and Mark Pritchard (Jedi Knights, Global Communication) were landmarks in their respective genres. His presence here means that Skank Sinatra has got some heavyweights vouching for them, and with good reason. With a spectrum of musical elements sampled here from electro to breaks, and trip-hop, with acoustic guitars and soulful vocals (no mere sampling here), this five mammalian team is on the warpath. Its time to go apeshit, or bananas, or any other simian cliché worthy of some damn good music, its too bad the end of humanities musical reign is nearing its end, or is it?
